About Us – The Heart Behind Domestic Doggess

My lifelong passion for dogs led me to pursue a career as a Professional Dog Carer many years ago. In 2015, that dream became a reality when I founded Domestic Doggess, and since then, we’ve proudly provided loyal, loving daycare and home boarding services to the hounds of Cheshire.

What started as a solo venture has grown into a thriving, trusted family business — now supported by a passionate, qualified team of dedicated dog lovers. Together, we’ve created a place where dogs are not only cared for but truly cherished.

In June 2022, my husband Jonathan and I made a life-changing leap. We moved into our dream home nestled in the beautiful Knutsford countryside, just outside Altrincham. At the same time, Jonathan joined the business full-time, embracing a brand-new career path alongside me. We’ve since invested heavily in transforming our property into a dog’s paradise — fully securing the grounds and creating multiple tailored spaces where dogs of all shapes and sizes can safely run, play, and explore.

Fast forward to August 2024, we were proud to be awarded a 5-star license by Cheshire East Council, valid for the next three years — a testament to our high standards and continuous improvements. With new upgrades both indoors and out, we now offer even more enriching experiences for our furry guests. This includes:

• Several heated indoor areas for those wet and chilly days

• Two cool, shaded woodland walks for relaxed sniffing and exploring

• A large open field for ball games and free running

• An exciting agility zone for fun and mental stimulation

• A dig-friendly sandpit

• And even a trampoline for the goofy ones!

With nearly two acres of secure land, we’ve also expanded our team to ensure every dog is supervised, supported, and placed in the most suitable area for their play style and temperament.
